Living a Life Creating Zero Waste

VIP Solutions has not yet been requested to build a house that produces no waste, but we are looking forward to the challenge. This blog was prompted after one of our customers asked us if we could custom build an off-grid house that utilized gray and black water for something useful. They also inquired about a built in water catch for rain water that could be seamlessly purified.

Although VIP Solutions hasn’t built anything that reuses waste water, the building contractor we are partners with specializes in custom builds for people just like our customers. We can literally do anything you desire when it comes to our VIP Homes. If you take a look at our gallery online, you can see the craftsmanship of a VIP Home Estate. Combining this craftsmanship with a creative community member will allow us to put all of your ideas, and ours, into action.

What did we tell our customer when they asked us that question? We told them our team can provide anything they desire, just as long as we are given the correct guidance, and there is completely open communication between our team and our community members.

There is a short disclaimer to this however; we can’t do anything your city won’t allow. We have to acquire special permission to do anything “funky” like using gray water for toilet flushing instead of clean water. Some people are better than others and persuading public officials, but often it is extremely difficult to receive permission to make special systems.

If we can get permission, we can build anything.

If we were going to advise a family about how to create less waste, growing food would be the first suggestion. Much of the waste that a family makes comes from food packaging from grocery stores, where most items are in some kind of plastic bottle or bag. In Michigan, we love aquaponics because of its functionality in the winter.
